Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of LemonStand — a storefront and order tool for Singapore social sellers. LemonStand provides this service. By creating a seller account, browsing a LemonStand storefront, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

What LemonStand is

LemonStand provides software that helps sellers publish a product catalogue, collect buyer orders, and generate PayNow QR codes. LemonStand is not a bank, payment institution, escrow service, or merchant of record for buyer purchases.

• Seller subscriptions are billed by LemonStand through Stripe (S$3.90/week equivalent, billed every 4 weeks, or S$149/year).
• Buyer paymentsare PayNow transfers made directly between the buyer and the seller's bank. LemonStand does not receive buyer payment funds.

Roles and responsibilities

LemonStand (the platform)

• Hosts storefronts, checkout, and order management software
• Generates PayNow QR codes using seller-provided proxy details
• Bills sellers for LemonStand subscriptions
• Does not verify PayNow payments automatically — sellers confirm manually
• Is not responsible for product quality, delivery, or buyer refunds

Sellers

• Are the merchant of record for every buyer transaction
• Control store content, pricing, availability, and fulfilment
• Must provide accurate PayNow details and verify payments manually
• Handle buyer support, refunds, cancellations, and disputes
• Must comply with Singapore law, including consumer and product rules
• Are responsible for how they use buyer personal data received through orders (see Seller Terms for platform processing details)

Buyers

• When you place an order, you are buying from the seller named on the storefront — not from LemonStand
• Follow PayNow instructions on the order page. After paying, notify the seller so they can verify payment
• Contact the seller directly for refunds, delivery issues, or product questions
• Do not create a LemonStand account — checkout collects details per order

PayNow and payment verification

LemonStand generates PayNow QR codes locally. Payment confirmation is manual: the seller checks their bank account and marks the order as paid in their dashboard. LemonStand does not automatically detect incoming PayNow transfers. Do not assume an order is confirmed until the seller verifies it.

Acceptable use

You must not use LemonStand to:

• Sell illegal goods or services, or facilitate fraud
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Upload malware, scrape the platform, or attempt unauthorised access
• Misrepresent products, prices, or your identity
• Collect buyer data for unrelated purposes without proper consent
• Circumvent billing, rate limits, or security controls

We may suspend or remove stores that violate these Terms or applicable law.

Prohibited products and services

Sellers must not list or sell through LemonStand:

• Illegal drugs, weapons, or controlled substances
• Counterfeit or stolen goods
• Products that infringe intellectual property rights
• Adult content or gambling where prohibited by law
• Financial products requiring licences LemonStand and the seller do not hold
• Any product or service prohibited under Singapore law

Refunds and cancellations

Buyer purchases (PayNow)

Refunds for buyer orders are handled entirely by the seller. LemonStand does not process buyer refunds because we do not hold buyer funds. Contact the seller if you need a refund or cancellation.

Seller subscriptions (Stripe)

LemonStand subscriptions can be cancelled anytime through the Stripe Customer Portal (“Manage billing” in Settings). Cancellation stops future charges; access continues until the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated in your Seller Terms. Subscription refunds follow Stripe and LemonStand's billing policies — contact support@lemonstand.net for billing disputes.

Store availability

• Sellers may pause or unpublish their store at any time
• Existing order pages may remain reachable so buyers can finish payment or check status
• Sellers may close their shop permanently (see Seller Terms and Privacy Policy for data retention)

Availability and changes

We aim to keep LemonStand reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change as we improve the product. We will use reasonable efforts to notify sellers of material changes.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LemonStand is not liable for disputes between buyers and sellers, failed or delayed PayNow transfers, product defects, delivery failures, or losses arising from store content or fulfilment. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the subscription fees you paid us (if any) in the three months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date on this page.
